The Hitchcock Room
2nd floor room, $125 - $225
Queen Bed
Hitchcock Free Academy was founded as the first free High School in the area by Samuel Austin Hitchcock in 1855. Elias Carter was the architect of the academy. Our property resides just a few doors down from the Academy on the common in Brimfield. Enos Hitchcock ran a trade store in part of the house in the 1870s. The Hitchcock Room offers a Queen sized platform bed and ceiling fan. A private deck with a bistro table and two chairs offers a quiet spot for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The room is furnished in a rustic fishing motif including antique fish prints and pastels. Built-in shelving and a private closet offer storage. A private shower is also included.
We have 3 guest rooms; all with private baths and showers. There are two over-sized full time guests rooms; The Americana Room and The Red Room. Both rooms are decorated with antique furnishings and art. They offer a queen size bed as well as a twin bed. Due to the high demand for B&B rooms during the Brimfield Antique Shows, we convert 3 additional bedrooms (Anglers, Courtyard, and Black/White ) to accommodate guests. These rooms offer a variety of accommodations while still offering a private bath.
